BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MAJOR

  The curriculum in Business Administration provides students the opportunity to acquire a broad education in business. After completing the business core, students structure their own programs by selecting from all the available business courses.


Objectives:

1. To provide a broad, flexible education in business, including a basic educational framework on which students can build their careers.

2. To prepare students for a variety of leadership positions in business, industry, government and education.

3. To prepare students to pursue advanced degrees in business administration, business-related disciplines, and other disciplines requiring refined communications skills and analytical abilities.

4. To promote both theoretical and practical scholarly research and publications that lead to solutions of management problems and the advancement of management theories and concepts.

BUSINESS EDUCATION MAJOR

  The Business Education program offers a Comprehensive Certification in Business Education, which allows students to teach a broad range of high school courses.

Objectives:

1. To prepare students for positions in teaching business courses at the grammar and secondary education levels. 


2. To promote students' developing the skills and core competencies necessary to pursue graduate studies in business-related disciplines and other disciplines requiring refined communications skills and analytical abilities.

3. To promote both theoretical and practical scholarly research  and publications that lead to solutions of business education problems and the advancement of education theories and concepts.

FINANCE MAJOR

Objectives

1. To prepare students for careers in finance, financial management and other careers related to financial services or requiring a high proficiency in finance.

2. To prepare students to pursue advanced degrees in finance, business-related disciplines, and other disciplines requiring refined communications skills and analytical abilities.

3. To promote both theoretical and practical scholarly research and publications that lead to solutions of finance problems and the advancement of finance theory and concepts.

MARKETING MAJOR

  The Marketing program offers a comprehensive program of study in the effective use of tools and techniques to provide a sound background for those students anticipating entering the marketing profession and for those students contemplating pursuit of graduate studies in business and related disciplines.

Objectives:

1. To offer a marketing curriculum that provides students the knowledge base in Marketing theory and practice.

2. To prepare students for pursuit of advanced degrees in marketing, business-related disciplines, and other disciplines requiring refined communications skills and analytical abilities.

3. To promote both theoretical and practical scholarly research and publications that lead to solutions of marketing problems and the advancement of marketing theories and concepts.
