The Economics Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Commerce and in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. For undergraduate students the department offers a B.S. in Economics(College of Commerce) and a B.A. in Economics (LA&S). At the graduate level an M.A. in
Economics (LA&S) is offered as well as a concentration in Business Economics in the M.B.A. (College of Commerce). Students in Economics learn to analyze economic and business data to identify and address trends and problems that arise in a changing national and global economy. Students also study the broader and historical social context in which economic relationships occur and economic and business policies are formulated.
A degree in Economics prepares students for careers in business, financial institutions, international business, government and public service, PhD programs in Economics, and graduate studies in Law.
