The latest report of the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences ranks our department 27th among all US Economics departments in scholarly quality of program faculty, and 25th in effectiveness in educating research scholars/scientists.
Among our current faculty are two Distinguished University Professors, three winners of the MSU Distinguished Faculty Award, three winners of the MSU Teacher-Scholar Award, two winners of the Broad College Withrow Award for Teaching, the Director of MSU's Honors College, and a former President of MSU.
