Introduction
The economics and business curriculum helps students gain the technical expertise to make good business decisions. It also helps them to develop the intellectual breadth that will encourage ethical and public-minded business practices. The department’s undergraduate academic options prepare students for immediate employment or for a variety of professional and graduate school programs. The international management/French/German/Spanish major, offered in conjunction with the Foreign Languages Department, includes a mandatory one-term study abroad experience in the student’s junior year. The student-managed Amrhein Investment Fund, nationally recognized for its good performance, gives majors especially valuable experience.
The department also offers the graduate degree of Master of Business Administration.
