  About NMSU's College of Agriculture and Home Economics
  The College of Agriculture and Home Economics is located in Las Cruces on the west end of NMSU, the state's original land-grant university.
  The distinctive focus of the college is to promote the beneficial uses of plants, animals, soil, and water for food, fiber, fuel, and recreation and to improve the quality of human, family, and consumer resources and services.
  The college's goals include:
  Educating students for careers in agricultural, natural life, and social sciences.
  Finding practical answers to problems facing New Mexico's people, environment, and agricultural industry.
  Providing research-based knowledge about problems to the New Mexicans who need the information the most.
  The college comprises three major units: Academic Programs, the Agricultual Experiment Station, and the Cooperative Extension Service.
