Welcome

The University of New Orleans is an urban university located near the banks of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. The College of Business Administration, with a Fall 1999 enrollment of almost 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and a budget of over $5 million, is one of the largest colleges of business in the Gulf Coast region. Business students make up nearly one-fourth of the University of New Orleans'' student body (15,820)! The College, fully accredited by the AACSB, provides specialized training in a variety of business fields at both the undergraduate and graduate level as well as a broad foundation in the liberal arts and sciences.

Undergraduate programs in accounting; business administration (with computer option); economics, finance; hotel, restaurant & tourism administration; management; and marketing are offered.

Our MBA program, with over 700 students, is the largest in the Gulf South Region. In Fall 1999 after a three-year approval process, the College of Business introduced the Master of Health Care Management, a new graduate program. The introduction of this new program represents the College of Business'' commitment to the development of this important sector in New Orleans.

At the Graduate level, we also offer Master of Science programs in Accounting and Taxation. An innovative Ph.D. program in financial economics is offered at the doctorate level. Special certification programs are also offered through the Accounting Department as preparation for the Internal Auditing and CPA examinations.

Our Executive Education program offers an Executive Master of Business Administration Program (EMBA) and an Executive Master of Health Care Management Program (EMHCM). Both of these programs are structured to provide maximum quality management education without significantly interrupting daily work responsibilities. The Executive MBA program is also offered in Jamaica.

Many resources are available to support current students, graduates, and faculty. The UNO Business Alumni Council is an active group supporting the continued development of the College. The College of Business also provides various community services through its support of research and business centers.
