MISSION STATEMENT
The Department of Economics and Finance at Slippery Rock University is dedicated to offering high quality instruction to its students to prepare them for careers in the public and private sectors and/or for graduate and professional education. This is achieved by developing undergraduate students’ expertise in their major field of study to the highest level; enhancing their interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency; and preparing them well for the globally diverse environment in which they will work and live as well as helping them to develop a high sense of social responsibility.
