经济学院每年都会产生大量的优秀科研成果。据统计，自1998年以来，我院已获得国家自然基金1项、国家社科基金6项、教育部社科基金16项、教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地重大课题基金3项、霍英东青年教师研究基金2项、北京市社科基金6项、横向课题20项、国外资助项目10项、其它5项，共计69项的社科项目基金。共获省部级以上科研成果奖24项及中国人民大学优秀科研成果奖11项，其中包括：孙冶方经济科学论文一等奖1名、北京市人文社会科学优秀成果一、二等奖共计13项、高校人文社会科学优秀奖7项、北京市庆祝建国五十周年论文奖1项、教育部高校优秀学术著作奖1项以及其他省部级优秀成果奖等等。另外，自98年以来，我院共对外发表了论文705篇、专著76本、教材编著79套、研究报告63份、工具书18套、译著15本、音像制品9套，共计965项对外出版作品。
Fruitful academic achievements
Great amount of excellent academic achievements has been made every year. According to the incomplete statistics, the School has undertaken 69 externally sponsored research projects in the fields of humanity and social sciences since 1998. Among them, there are 1 project sponsored by the National Natural Sciences Foundation, 6 projects sponsored by National Social Sciences Foundation, 16 projects that were directly sponsored by the Social Science Foundation of the State Education Ministry, and 3 projects that belong to the national projects of issues of vital importance in humanity and social sciences and were sponsored by State Education Ministry for key research bases. There are also 10 projects sponsored by overseas institutions.
The School also reaffirmed its mission to excel in research since 1998. It has received 24 research awards conferred by administrations at provincial and ministerial level and above. Among them, there are 1 award from Sun Yefang Economics Prize for excellent papers, 7 from Higher Education prominence awards for Humanity and Social Sciences Researches. Since 1998, the number of published papers, academic works, textbooks and scientific reports, reference books and translation books written or compiled by faculties of the School reached 705, 76, 79, 63, 18 and 15 respectively. Altogether, the openly published works written or compiled by the faculties of the School are nearly 1000 pieces.
