经学校批准,我校金融研究院将于今年七月正式成立,院长Philip H. Dybvig教授(美

国圣•路易斯华盛顿大学奥林商学院金融学教授,教育部“长江学者”讲座教授)、副院长

刘俊教授(美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校金融学副教授,教育部“长江学者”讲座教授) 以

及金融研究院筹备小组全体成员向全校师生致以真诚的问候!

金融研究院将致力于金融与经济学术研究,以研究促教学,用教学促研究,定于6月-7

月邀请一批国内外知名学者来校访问,旨在与广大师生就银行业和证券市场两个领域的学术

问题展开深入研讨。学术研讨的形式将以主题演讲为主,并以提问和探讨相结合的方式来增

进与来访学者间的交流互动。届时院长Philip H. Dybvig教授和副院长刘俊教授,将全程参

与研讨,欢迎广大师生积极参与。

Dear Teachers and Students,

Greetings from the Philip H. Dybvig, Liu Jun, and the rest of the

Preparation Group of the Institute of Financial Studies, a new institute that

will open formally next month. The new institute will be dedicated to enhancing

the quality of research and teaching at Southwest University of Finance and

Economics. This summer, we will run a program hosting international scholars,

focusing on policy issues in banking and security markets. We invite members of

the University community to interact with our visitors.

We will host the following seminars and conference in the weeks of June 7

and June 14:

All events will be held at the Institute’s facilities on the Guanghua

campus, near North Gate No. 3, to the east of the basketball courts, on the

second floor of the building that used to house the retirement office. Seminars

and the conference are open to faculty and PhD students. Other students who

wish to attend seminars or the conference should request permission through the

Institute office.

In addition to participating in the seminars and the conference, we invite

faculty in the school to meet with our visitors for tea on Mondays and in

private appointments on Thursday afternoon. Appointments can be made by

contacting the school by phone or e-mail. PhD students can also sign up for

appointments if any slots are still available on Wednesday afternoon.

We hope the university community will take advantage of the opportunity to

interact with our visitors.
