Program Officer, China Medical Board programs
The Institute of International Education (www.iie.org) is the world's most
experienced global higher education and professional exchange agency. It
provides training and leadership development programs for public and
private sector professionals around the world.
The IIE Beijing Office (www.iiebeijing.org) is currently seeking
applications from resident Chinese nationals for the following
full-time position:
Title: Program Officer, China Medical Board programs
Reports to: Director, IIE Beijing Office
Application deadline: 15 October 2008
Background: In July 2008, IIE began to administer three grants programs for
the China Medical Board (CMB): the CMB Distinguished Professorships Awards,
the CMB Next Generation Fellowships, and the CMB Mid-Career Research Grants.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
·Management of annual application and selection cycles for these programs,
including advertising, collecting applications, administering selection
processes, coordinating selection committees, and preparing for selection
and interview meetings
·Developing good working relationships with all stakeholders: partner
schools in China, potential applicants, selection committees, CMB staff,
and the broader public
·Other duties may be assigned as needed, related to these or other
programs in the IIE Beijing Office.

Qualifications:
·Ability to work effectively and responsibly with a wide range of people,
individually and in teams
·Excellent communications skills in both Chinese and English
·Significant administrative skills and experience
·Strong preference will be given to those with a Master`s Degree or
equivalent work experience.
·Personal experience in degree study programs in other countries would
be an important asset.
